Elena HOBSON
Elena is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a treatment style centred around clear diagnostics, education and empowerment. Her goal is to help you understand your own body, combining this approach with a strong manual therapy focus so that you can develop the knowledge and confidence to take control of your movement and wellbeing.
Elena has developed particular expertise in a number of niche treatment areas, including hypermobility, SIJ and pelvis pain, Olympic lifting technique and nervous system irritations. Her approach is highly individualised, helping each client understand not only what is happening in their body, but also why it is happening and what they can do to improve it.
Elena graduated from the University of Queensland in 2007. During the first half of her career, she worked extensively in competitive hockey physiotherapy, gaining experience at an elite sporting level. Her career highlights include working as a Commonwealth Games Physiotherapist in 2018, touring as a National Physiotherapist for the Masters World Cup and Australian teams, and serving as Head Physiotherapist at State Championships.
She has also toured extensively with sporting teams, including the U21 Hong Kong Hockey team and the Hong Kong China Netball team. This extensive sporting background has given Elena a deep understanding of the physical demands placed on athletes across different sports and performance levels.
The second half of Elena's career has focused heavily on CrossFit and elite Ballet. She has worked within two different CrossFit gyms, both supporting elite representation athletes, and was the Lead Physiotherapist at Hong Kong Ballet for four years.
Elena's philosophy is simple: understand your body, understand why it behaves the way it does, and develop the skills to change it. Whether you are managing persistent pain, returning to sport, improving movement technique or looking to perform at a higher level, her goal is to give you the knowledge and tools to make confident decisions about your body.

OUTSIDE THE CLINIC
Elena is a mum of two young children, Cay and Immi, and wife to podiatrist Brock Healy.
She is happiest on the mountain in the sunshine, whether surrounded by snow or exploring a trail. An all-rounder at heart, Elena enjoys a wide range of sports and activities including CrossFit, Hyrox, hockey, running, squash, gymnastics, trampolining and adventure racing.
In fact, there is very little sport Elena won't try. The one notable exception is tennis, which she admits she finds a little too hard!
